Rania Rafraf

Rania Rafraf, Fulbright scholar, is a language Instructor at the University of Kansas. She is a multilingual linguist. She speaks Arabic, English and French fluently with a basic proficiency level of Turkish and Italian languages. She earned CELTA certificate with a distinction an above pass B from Missouri State University. She earned her M. Sc in Applied Linguistics and BA in English language, literature, and British / American civilization from the Higher Institute of Languages of Tunis, Tunisia. She wrote a thesis on reading strategies. Prior to her work at KU, she has been teaching ESL /EFL/ ESP for over four years. She served as the head of EAL department in an international school accredited by Cambridge focusing on Bilingualism, SL acquisition, materials development, and assessment. She has a particular interest in teaching Second Languages, teacher training, curriculum development and designing. The bright spot of her career is that she is a leader, teacher and learner who inspires and comes up with solutions to overcome challenges
