I am an educator and i love what i do. I am 28 years old and engaged to a wonderful man. I am looking to broaden   .my experience  

I have been working at the American school for three years now. I have worked for two years closely and under the supervision of both the Learning Support and EAL specialists, who have been monitoring my work and mentoring me. I am happy to say that it has been a wonderful journey to be able to assist and help students with learning difficulties and challenges, more specifically non-native English Speakers in middle school.

This year i switched to the elementary school, assisting and co-teaching with two wonderful fifth-grade teachers. It has been a privilege and a powerful learning opportunity.

The teaching profession is one of the most gratifying and rewarding jobs anyone can have. We, Educators, have the chance to empower and support our learners in so many ways. We are able to change so many aspects of our students' lives.

The concrete example that I would like to provide is one of the students i worked with , who was struggling with his production skills and had a weak English vocabulary. I was extremely happy to see that he flourished by the end of the year and that he jumped by 10 points in his Language MAP test. The confidence I had in him and the strong Teacher-Student bond we had, pushed him to believe in himself as well and to give his all to succeed and improve. We always celebrated all his successes and tried to sit and discuss our plans to work on his weaknesses. I was lucky to have a wonderful, hard-working student who inspired me to give my all to be able to help him to the best of my ability. Last year as well, I was lucky enough to work with a fun-spirited young man who helps create a respectful and enjoyable atmosphere in class.

These particular experiences incorporate the main reason behind my choice to join the Education Field. I believe that establishing a good rapport with students and showing your confidence in them will eventually transfer to them and create amazing results personally and academically. I strongly believe that a good teacher is flexible, dedicated to his students and uses the right language that relies on love, care, patience, and understanding.

I also love how this profession gives you constantly room to grow and learn. There is never a dull moment. The challenges one can face are always rewarding at last.
